The service

Help with the moments
that cannot wait for morning.

A first point of contact during agreed cover, with practical coordination and escalation when the school needs to be involved.

01

A concern about wellbeing

Listen, establish the immediate situation and coordinate the next step through the school’s agreed welfare or safeguarding route.

02

An accommodation problem

Liaise with the student, host or residence and the school’s nominated contact to establish what can be done within the agreed remit.

03

An arrival that changes

Coordinate urgent out-of-hours issues with the relevant accommodation contacts or approved transport provider.

The core service is remote support and coordination. Physical attendance, routine transfers and planned activities are outside the core retainer unless separately agreed.

Clear boundaries

Support you can delegate.
Decisions you retain.

Your school retains its safeguarding leadership and formal management responsibilities. MyJourney works within the service and authority agreed with you.

The experience behind MyJourney

Built around the reality
of a school day.
And what follows it.

MyJourney grew from practical work in English language education and centre operations.

That background connects academic management with the everyday coordination around students: arrivals, accommodation, staff communication and welfare concerns.

The service is focused on what a school needs after hours: a clear first response, appropriate escalation and a record its daytime team can use.

About MyJourney

Starting well

Agree the cover.
Then connect the service.

Moving a duty-phone arrangement needs more than diverting a number. Your contacts, procedures and handover route need to be ready too.

  1. 01

    Discuss your setting

Outline your students, accommodation, required hours and the support you want to delegate.

  2. 02

    Agree the scope

Confirm cover, authority, fees, escalation contacts and how significant incidents will be recorded.

  3. 03

    Prepare the handover

Provide the agreed information and access. Confirm how callers reach support and who receives daytime follow-up.

Before cover begins

Availability, escalation if a contact cannot be reached, and transfer of active incidents need to be agreed for your setting. An urgent concern must be escalated during the incident; it is not simply left for the morning.

A clear proposal

Know what your
cover includes.

The agreement defines the service, cover period and fee.

The core retainer covers agreed remote support, ordinary coordination, significant incident recording and handover. Additional centres, wider responsibilities or physical attendance require a separate agreement or scope review.

Approved third-party transport and direct incident costs sit outside the service fee. We will discuss the arrangements relevant to your school before cover starts.
