During an incident

Relevant concerns are escalated through the school’s documented procedures and nominated contacts. Immediate danger may require emergency services before or alongside school escalation.

MyJourney receives and records essential information. It does not investigate disclosures or make the school’s disciplinary decisions.

Recording and continuity

Significant actions and decisions belong in the agreed secure record. Messaging, where approved, is a communication channel and does not replace the incident record.

The agreed handover identifies what remains outstanding. Active serious incidents require appropriate escalation and transfer at the end of cover.

Setting up safely

Before starting, discuss current procedures, authorised contacts, access, escalation alternatives, spending authority and handover ownership. These arrangements are specific to the school and are not published here.
